Black Water Gospel released its debut in 2005. Shortly after its release, the self-titled CD was featured on KUT-FM’s “Texas Music Matters” program. Host David Brown examined how Black Water Gospel is unique in today’s crowded music scene, and wondered if the roots rock band has “too much promise to be tied to Austin.”
